If you’re hunting for "Oh Jenny!" furniture, you’re diving into a very specific pocket of 1980s nostalgia. Produced by Matchbox in 1988, this line was a direct competitor to other miniature dollhouse sets of the era, like Polly Pocket (the original larger versions) or Petite Princess.
Here is a breakdown of the Oh Jenny! Dreamworld collection and its furniture:

Scale and Style
Scale: The furniture is 1:24 scale (half-inch scale). This makes it significantly smaller than standard 1:12 dollhouse furniture but larger than the "micro" toys that became popular in the early 90s.

Material: It is made of lightweight, durable plastic, typically in soft pastel colors (pinks, blues, and creams) with a distinct "country cottage" aesthetic.

Details: Many pieces featured stickers for details (like book spines on a shelf or patterns on a bedspread), which are often the first thing to wear out on vintage finds.

Collector's Tips
The "Yellowing" Issue: Because of the type of plastic used in the 80s, the white and cream-colored furniture is highly prone to "retroringing" or yellowing if left in sunlight.

Sticker Condition: Finding "mint" pieces is difficult because the adhesive on the stickers often dries out, causing them to peel or fall off.

Doll Compatibility: The furniture was designed specifically for the Oh Jenny dolls (Jenny, her parents, brother, and baby sister), which were about 1.5 to 2 inches tall. If you’re buying just the furniture, modern figures might be too "chunky" to fit the delicate chairs.

Why was it so short-lived?

Production: The "Oh Jenny!" line was incredibly short-lived, with manufacturing effectively ceasing in in 1989. The line was launched by Matchbox in 1988 to capitalize on the "micro-doll" trend of the late 80s. However, it struggled to survive for more than a single production year. The Polly Pocket Powerhouse: Bluebird Toys launched Polly Pocket right around the same time (distributed by Mattel in the US). Polly Pocket’s "compact" design was more portable and innovative, quickly overshadowing Matchbox’s more traditional (though smaller-scale) modular dollhouses.

Company Shifts: During the late 80s and early 90s, Matchbox was undergoing significant corporate transitions. The company was sold to Tyco in 1992, and many of their non-vehicle experimental lines (like Oh Jenny! and Rubik’s-related toys) were scrapped to focus on the core die-cast car brand.

Fragility: While the furniture was charming, the tiny plastic hinges and delicate stickers didn't hold up as well as the more rugged, self-contained competitors.

Condition: All items should be considered in good played-with condition.
