The Marx Toy Company’s French Provincial line of dollhouse furniture is a distinct collection produced from 1965 through the early 1970s. Unlike earlier or more ornate versions of French Provincial miniatures, this specific line was designed with a sleeker, mid-century aesthetic and was packaged primarily with the Marx "Carport" and the "Contemporary Ranch" (famously known among collectors as the "Rooster Ranch") dollhouses.

The furniture is characterized by its vibrant molded plastic colors—predominantly pink, blue, white, and brown.

Room-by-Room Inventory
The set was comprehensive, covering six primary living areas plus outdoor space:

Kitchen: Defined by a modern pink stove/sink combination unit and a matching pink refrigerator. It included a white round kitchen table paired with Eames-style tulip chairs.

Dining Room: This room is most notable for its round dining table, which featured a two-piece construction and a molded fruit basket on the tabletop. Because of the two-piece design, this table is exceptionally difficult for collectors to find intact today. It was accompanied by a china hutch displaying dinnerware and four plain, straight-back chairs.

Living Room: Featured a blue sofa and a mix of blue and pink armchairs. The electronics were represented by a brown console television.

Master Bedroom: Included a large blue bed with a brown headboard, a mirrored dresser, and a matching armoire.

Second Bedroom: Molded primarily in pink and white, this set included a single pink bed with a white headboard, a white bureau, and a mirrored vanity with a matching white bench.

Bathroom: All pieces were molded in pink, including a bathtub, a vanity sink, and a commode.

Patio: Most sets were rounded out with a 4 or 5-piece patio set, which was produced in various colors.

Collector Details and Identification
Era: 1965 – early 1970s.

Scale: Designed for the 1:24 scale (1/2") tin-litho houses of the mid-to-late 60s.

Materials: Durable, solid-color molded plastic. Unlike earlier Marx furniture, these pieces do not feature secondary paint applications.

Rarity: The two-piece dining table is the "holy grail" of this specific line due to its fragility and the tendency for the two parts to become separated or lost over the last 50 years.

Condition: All items should be considered in good played-with condition.
